Our Mission Statement Bayern Munich is one of Kansas City’s oldest and most respected competitive soccer clubs. The club is a non-profit, volunteer organization and all board members are volunteers who receive no salary. We provide a year-round program. Providing college recruitment and exposure as well as college preparation. In the past we have focused on older female high school players only, sending almost all who went through the program to play soccer in college. The club is still committed to do everything we can to provide pathways to college. We have scrimmages against several local and out of state colleges in addition to our national regional tournament schedules. Because of our extensive recruitment efforts over the years many college coaches around the country recognize the Bayern Munich name. Unlike other programs we address the financial needs of those who would otherwise be unable to participate. We see many players who fit the criteria for college play who deserve a chance to be seen and recruited by college coaches but are unable to afford a comprehensive program to prepare them. For these young athletes and their families a chance at a scholarship is even more important. Our rosters are made up of many players who are given hardship consideration. Given the chance, these individuals have an opportunity for a future in college and their lives have been affected in a positive way. Our club is unique to the area. There is clearly a strong need for this type of program in our community and we are proud to serve that need. Also, this year we have a new facility and are expanding our program to include boys’ teams and several younger age groups providing them with quality coaching and high-level competition. |
